Hiring an Independent Contractor (1099, Fully Remote): AI Content + Social Media Manager for Acre Gold and BYRD
I lead marketing and CX for Acre Gold (a subscription gold investment platform) and creative direction for BYRD (a modern subscription jewelry brand). I am hiring a fully remote independent contractor for a defined project engagement to produce AI content and manage social media channels across both brands.
Success in this role looks like consistent, polished AI content, active and on-brand social channels, and proactive ownership of the content workflow.
This is a project-based contract role. The contractor sets their own schedule, may maintain other active clients, and works to defined deliverables. Strong-fit candidates can expect renewal through additional written scopes of work.
Initial scope
AI content deliverables
- Weekly batch of AI video assets in Higgsfield (Soul 2.0), Seedance, Kling
- Image generation deliverables in GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro and Higgsfield
- Voice and music elements via ElevenLabs and Suno as scoped
- Prompt development and version tracking
- Organized delivery of final assets
Social media management deliverables
- Content calendar development and daily posting on Instagram and TikTok for both brands
- Community management (DMs, comments, mentions) per brand guidelines
- Brand voice consistency and trend response
- Hashtag and discovery optimization
- Light editing for social formats (CapCut or similar)
- Biweekly performance reports and insights
Required qualifications
- Must be located in the United States and authorized to work in the US
- Fluent written and spoken English
- 4+ years of professional work experience
- Hands-on experience with AI video and image tools (Higgsfield, Veo, Kling, Seedance, Midjourney, Runway, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience managing brand social media channels
- Strong prompt writing skills and a good visual eye
- Operates as an independent business with other active or recent clients
- Clear written communication, organized, self-directed
Engagement details
- $25/hour
- Biweekly invoicing, paid biweekly
- Contractor sets own hours and schedule
- 1099 / W9 independent contractor
- Fully remote within the US
- Other active clients welcome and expected
- Written contract executed before work begins (per California SB 988)
- Background check conducted after conditional offer, in compliance with the California Fair Chance Act
- Start date: ASAP
